****The JTHS is now on Facebook. Just log into your account and search for The Jefferson Township Historical Society and like our page. It will have interesting information from time to time. Also anyone interested in contributing something may do so.****
***Bake Sale*** On Saturday May 25, 2013 the JTHS will hold its annual bake sale at the Weirton Walmart from 10am until 2 pm. If you are able to donate any baked goods please have them dropped off by 9am. If you are able to help set up and stay awhile to help sell please notify Barb Zianni.
***Yard Sale*** The JTHS annual yard sale will be held at the White Church on Friday June 21st and Sat Jun 22nd from 9am until 3pm. If you have any items to donate please make arrangements with Barb Zianni (724)947-9111 for pick-up or drop-off. Remember we will accept anything EXCEPT clothing or shoes.
***Veterans Photo Book*** Judy Cooper and Deb Chilensky attended the Avella History Fair where they had a slide show presentation on the Veterans for their book. If you havent already done so, please submit Veteran information on those in your own family or ones you know served. Forms for this can be obtained by contacting29-3511 or emailing jcbeadling@aol.com If you are planning on submitting a photo please do so by 31 May 2013.

**ONGOING PROJECT**
An album is being assembled of pictures of Veterans. The Veteran does not have to be from Jefferson Township to be in the album. Remember your loved one(s) by submitting a copy of the Veteran's picture to the Historical Society. You can submit a photo to the address above or you can email them to Debbie Chilensky (appointed special projects coordinator) at chilen@msn.com. For any further information needed on this please contact Debbie, or Judy Cooper at 724-729-3511 or email jcbeadling@aol.com.
Also, the jths is asking for any stories or information that can be given with the photos. This project will be a long tedious one that will benefit the generations to come. If the stories aren't recorded how will the young know what each service man or woman went through? What the families endured with long absences of loved ones? Any and all information is welcome.
